Our Story

Can you turn a dream into a brewery? Our founder, Nate Newton, did. An idea born while homebrewing in a college apartment’s kitchen blossomed over twenty years later into Half Batch Brewing.

Dedicated to producing world-class beers, Half Batch distributes those brews throughout middle Tennessee from our brewery and public room in Hendersonville, TN. A cold, fresh Half Batch is always the right choice, whether you are out celebrating or picking up something to take home. Want to hang out? Come pass some time with us in our taproom, just 20 minutes north of downtown Nashville.

Our Beer

Half Batch was founded on the desire to bring people together to enjoy great beer brewed in Sumner County. We want beer lovers looking for a cozy, relaxed atmosphere to have a place to gather. Come in for a pint when you're in town. If you can't be here with us, then we hope that wherever you are, you can enjoy a fresh Half Batch beer. Cheers!

Love this place. If you love craft beer, this is your place. 10 or 12 selections and canned to take home. They need to expand somehow. Very friendly staff. Quick and attentive. Tip them big! They deserve it. I will be back for sure.

I have been coming here for years. The owners and employees are some of the best people I've ever met and the feeling of community on trivia nights cannot be beat.
